When designing your wedding suite, there are the must-haves: the invitation, RSVP (online or mail-in), envelope, and a details card (for your wedding website or other events). Once we determine exactly what and how many “must-have” pieces you need, that’s when we can dive into add-ons!
Add-ons are the extra little details that bring personality and customization to your suite. Here’s a rundown of some of my favorites:
I recommend envelope liners for every invitation—they’re a big design opportunity and can elevate your suite instantly. Beyond aesthetics, liners add weight and thickness to your envelope, making it feel even more luxurious.

Bellybands are a simple, elegant way to keep your suite neatly together when guests open the envelope. They can be a solid paper band or feature a printed design.

Ribbons are an alternative to bellybands and offer endless possibilities. Popular options include velvet, silk, cotton, or satin. I have a selection available in my studio for consultations, and I can also source custom options based on your suite’s design.

Wax seals add a beautiful texture to your suite. They can secure a ribbon, hold a vellum wrap together, or simply act as a decorative element. Some clients like to seal envelopes with wax, but I usually advise against this for mailing purposes—it can get caught in postal machinery (nightmare alert!).

Pockets are a practical and stylish way to hold all your pieces together—or just the extras beyond the invitation. There are pre-made pockets, or I can design custom pockets tailored to your suite concept. They keep everything organized, both for you and your guests.

Invitation wraps create a “present-like” experience for guests opening your suite. They can be printed on vellum or paper and are typically secured with ribbon or a wax seal.

Vintage stamps are a charming way to add personality to your envelope. These are carefully curated to match your suite colors or theme. They are more costly than standard postage because they are no longer minted, but they’re a unique touch. For clients who want the aesthetic without the cost, I offer a $10 add-on for a set of vintage stamps to use in your wedding day flat lay photos.

Diecutting adds visual interest to cards in your suite. Printers offer stock shapes like circles and ovals, or we can create a custom diecut to match your design. Diecuts are perfect for event cards or website inserts.

Edge treatments can take your invitation to the next level. Options include beveled edges, edge painting, or layered paper backings. Beveled and painted edges are applied directly to your invitation, while paper backings add depth and dimension with an extra layer of colored paper.

There are so many ways to add unique touches to your suite! If you have any ideas, bring them to your consultation and we can figure out how to make them work perfectly for your design.
