A Garden Fairytale

The Design Details

In May 2025, I partnered with Anne Kelley Events to bring the day-of stationery vision to life for Ashley & Jason’s wedding at the Fairmont Washington, DC. As one of my favorite—and most familiar—venues in the DC area, the Fairmont offered the perfect backdrop for thoughtfully layered paper details that complemented the space beautifully.

The design concept was an organic garden fairytale. Potted plants, moss accents, and lush, natural florals set the tone, while a refined palette of greens, whites, and soft tans carried through the linens, florals, and stationery. Together, these elements created a light, airy, and immersive experience for guests.

Escort cards were die-cut with an organic shape, moving away from the traditional rectangle to echo the natural aesthetic of the design. The menus featured a subtle color-coded system that added depth to the tabletop while discreetly communicating meal selections to the catering team. Thoughtful, functional, and beautiful—exactly how day-of paper should be!
